The membership module was reorganized and updated to a newer internal structure, making it easier to maintain and improve. This does not introduce major visible changes for users, but it prepares the module for future feature improvements with a cleaner foundation.

Future commits will aim to improve some features of the membership module.
However cleaning it before adding or changing features seems a good idea
due to the code quality not being very impressive currently.
